About the Artist

 Michael Dino Fasulo

MICHAEL DINO FASULO

Born in 1978 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Michael grew up in a large traditional family where opportunities were to be self-made.  Traditional schooling couldn’t contain the rambunctious Mike, and he was able to complete his GED and start off in real life.  He quickly gained a tattoo apprenticeship in 1998, which he subsequently completed to become a licensed tattoo artist in the still-mostly underground tattoo industry in the big little City of Providence, Rhode Island.  When the State decided to further regulate tattooing, Michael even worked on the panel to consult with the State of Rhode Island Department of Health to create the rules for conduct, many of which are still in effect today and of which act as a model for many other State regulatory commissions.

Tattooing as a profession is a very self-motivated industry, where you can determine your own style, growth and success, and after many years of “earning his chops” for other people’s shops, Michael and his wife Billie opened his own award-winning shop, Sin Alley Tattoo, in 2007 in his home town of Pawtucket.  The shop is still thriving today, and Michael has had the pleasure to act as mentor for dozens of tattoo artists who have found success at his shop and in the industry.  The Sin Alley Tattoo that Michael built is valued as a community-driven, friendly, inclusive, safe tattoo and body piercing shop that many clients have left with their first or one-hundredth tattoo.

Michael also is an avid builder and fabricator of vintage cars and motorcycles.  His eye for design has led him to win many Best-in-Show awards and prestige in the industry.

Currently, Michael resides in Pawtucket, Rhode Island with his wife of almost 20 years, Billie.  Together they continue to operate and grow their business, care for their brood of “fur babies”, travel, laugh, love and nurture the things they built together.  Michael has recently turned his creative mind to oil painting and is very much enjoying developing his style and skill in that medium.  His appreciation for fine art has always been present, but with age comes more time to explore this interest.  Michael continues to enjoy art, good friends, vintage cars and motorcycles, fine wine, great music, and the occasional trip to St. Petersburg, Florida where together he and his wife are restoring a vintage yacht.
